This project is essentially for the design of a whole campus of buildings - Joby Aviation wished to move in to the Marina Municipal Airport and reuse existing buildings into offices, as well as building a new, 250,000 square foot manufacturing facility, making this the largest project the firm took on. With some minimal input from the Principal, I was in charge with the majority of the design work for the exterior, and a significant portion of the interior design work at the Tenant Improvement buildings.

The headquarters was meant to highlight the company's startup culture, with a natural material palette juxtaposed with aviation and technology.

The manufacturing facility went through three major design refinements. The accepted version struck the perfect balance between design and cost.
